Whether you are a new or established patient and are seeking a routine or urgent care visit, please plan for your appointment by completing the following steps:

  • Make a note of your symptoms, if applicable, the order in which they appeared, and the results of any home testing, such as your temperature or response to over-the-counter medications.
  • Bring a list of all medications you take, including prescriptions, over-the-counter drugs, vitamins, and herbal remedies.
  • Bring a list of known allergies, including those to food or medications.
  • Know your immediate family and personal medical history, including past surgeries and serious diagnosed illnesses. Note your immediate family includes your mother, father, siblings, and grandparents.
  • Be prepared to answer general questions about your health and wellness habits, including eating, sleeping, and exercise habits, and use of alcohol, tobacco, or recreational drug products.
  • Make a note of any questions or other health concerns that you want to discuss with your healthcare provider.

BestMed providers are committed to your care and do not want to end an appointment session unless you feel your provider has addressed all your questions and concerns. Use your scheduled appointment time to ask your provider about health concerns, discuss potential side effects of new medications or recommended vaccinations, or ask what to expect during recommended tests or screenings. We’re not satisfied with the outcome of an appointment unless you are satisfied, and desire to deliver only the highest quality patient experience. Collaborative and open dialogue between patient and provider is critical to that success.
