The company’s expanded footprint in southern Washington expands residents’ options for health care.

Walla Walla, Wash. – A new BestMed Urgent Care opened in Walla Walla on Jan. 25, giving southern Washington residents needed health care options. Located at 1225 SE Commercial Drive in College Place, BestMed offers non-emergency care for people whose injuries and illnesses aren’t life-threatening but can’t wait days or weeks for an appointment with a primary care provider. The clinic hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends.

“With a growing shortage of primary care providers, especially in rural areas, it’s increasingly difficult for people to get timely appointments for medical issues that need immediate care,” said Jim Ashby, chief executive officer of BestMed’s parent company, Community Care Partners (CCP). “We offer a high-quality, compassionate alternative to help people feel better and get back to their lives as fast as possible — without the stress and expense of the emergency room.”

BestMed Urgent Care provides caring, professional treatment for a wide variety of medical conditions from sinus infections, earaches, and allergies to insect bites, dehydration, and fractures. BestMed clinics are also equipped with diagnostic tools such as X-rays and EKGs, as well as tests for conditions including Covid-19, flu, and pregnancy.

The BestMed Walla Walla clinic is BestMed’s fifth Washington location, and the company plans to open three additional locations in the state in 2023.

“As we continue to expand throughout the West, we aim to give our patients exceptional care, where and when we’re needed,” said Ashby. “We love being in places like Walla Walla, where our staff and providers already know the community, enabling us to deliver on our promise to provide Care That Is Personal.”
