Community Care Partners, a multi-state urgent care and primary care provider, has named Dr. Dan Surdam as Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Surdam has been practicing emergency and urgent care medicine across Wyoming, Colorado and Texas for 20 years. Dr. Surdam and his wife Amy (FNP-C), founded and managed Stitches Acute Care (three clinics in Wyoming and Colorado) and merged with Community Care Partners in 2020.
“When you build a company, it truly is a labor of love. Top of mind when we started looking at being acquired and merging with a larger organization was that it would be a like-minded organization with a similar purpose and values. We had a very similar culture as Community Care Partners so we really didn’t skip a beat during the transition. Continuing our journey of helping a larger organization provide the same great care to our communities has been our driving force.”
As Community Care Partners has grown through new clinics and acquisitions, the need for a full time Chief Medical Officer became clear to CEO Jim Ashby. “It was time for us to find a full time CMO and as we began our search, the choice was an obvious one. Dr. Surdam has the experience and leadership needed and was already part of the CCP leadership team. We are thrilled that he has accepted the role.” Ashby stated.
“I’m very excited to take on this role. There is already such a strong foundation of quality medical care across our clinics. My role as CMO will be to build on to that foundation, and to ensure that we are firing on all cylinders from a clinical perspective while constantly looking forward, innovating and adapting to the ever-changing health care arena. That means we are providing the best patient care and experience and that we are providing the best place to work for our providers and our staff.” said Dr. Surdam.
