I love practicing medicine and taking care of my patients. Education and patient care are extremely important in my practice, and I believe in helping my patients to make the best decisions for themselves.

Having always been passionate about taking care of people, medicine was a natural choice for Jordan Blythe, PA-C. And with experience as a respiratory care practitioner and rotations in everything from emergency departments to the neurological ICU, he had the chance to provide care in a variety of settings before settling on primary care as his chosen career.

Jordan feels that primary care provides the best opportunity to focus on the aspects of medicine he loves most. “I enjoy everything about working in medicine, but primary care gives me the chance to get to know my patients, their needs and their goals. Being able to give them the information they need to make informed decisions about their health and provide the resources to support them on their journey makes me thankful I get to do what I do every day.”

Jordan received his Bachelor of Health Sciences from Missouri Southern State University after completing his associate degree in respiratory therapy. He began working in respiratory therapy while completing his undergraduate degree and continued until he attended graduate school at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center. After earning his Master of Health Sciences, he completed intense rotations in a wide range of medical specialties before relocating to Oregon.

Jordan has a service-oriented approach to his work and believes it’s important to include patients in their own care. “I’m here to help patients feel their best,” he says. “I certainly conduct exams, order tests, prescribe medications and treat illness. But my bigger goal is to help my patients feel empowered so that health care isn’t something that’s just done to them, but something they can guide and make choices about.”

Jordan lives in Corvallis, Ore. with his wife and two dogs. They all enjoy travelling and outdoor activities, so when he’s not in the clinic, he can likely be found hiking, camping, mountain biking or disc golfing.
