About Mariela
Mariela became a nurse practitioner with a deep commitment to serving underserved populations, especially those facing language and cultural barriers to accessing healthcare. As a bilingual provider fluent in Spanish, she is passionate about delivering culturally competent care to patients that fosters trust, understanding, and connection within her community.
With a strong clinical background in urology and oncology, Mariela brings both compassion, and expertise to her work in primary care. Her professional interests include chronic disease management, preventive health screenings, and annual wellness visits. She believes in empowering patients at every stage of life through education and proactive care, helping them take control of their long-term health and wellness.
Mariela recently relocated to Eugene, Oregon, from Salt Lake City, Utah, with her husband. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, jogging, biking, gardening, and staying connected with her three adult children.
